Welcome to Lucile & Axel’s Family – Bordeaux
Lucile and Axel are delighted to welcome an international student into their warm and lively family home in Bordeaux.
They live in a beautiful, spacious house with a garden in the peaceful and leafy Chaban-Delmas district, just a short walk from shops, sports facilities and excellent public transport. The city centre and the University of Bordeaux can both be reached in around 20 minutes by tram.
Their four children are now grown up or away studying, although their youngest daughter comes home at weekends, keeping the house full of life. The family enjoys spending time together and shares a wide range of interests including sports, reading, DIY projects, gardening, board games and outdoor activities. Their home is often filled with family and friends at weekends, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
International exchange is part of their family culture. They have already hosted international students and have strong international ties: relatives live in the United States, while their children have all spent extended periods abroad in Asia. They genuinely enjoy speaking English and are looking forward to sharing French culture while discovering another culture in return.
Students will enjoy a bright and comfortable 20 m² bedroom on the top floor of the house, equipped with a single bed, a large desk, generous storage space, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp. Two guest bedrooms share a bathroom located on the same floor.
Lucile and Axel are looking for an independent female student, preferably for stays ranging from one to three months. They offer several accommodation options, from Bed & Breakfast with kitchen access to packages including one or two family dinners each week.
